The film tells a story about Jaya who has lose his mother, go to meets the only still alive member of his family that is his father, Johar. Johar works in a jermal, place of fish network built above wood bollards on the high seas. The Jermal was cloistered and difficult to be reached. On the jermal, laborer job and detached is everyday reality. Johar is overshadowed by bad past memory that make him cannot return to continent since 12 years past. Event of those results Johar surely will be arrested by police if he return to continent. When Jaya arrived at jermal, he was refused by Johar which have never known that he is his son. Fully conscious that he does not like to return to continent to accompany the child, Johar also perforced to receive Jaya to work in jermal. This meeting clearly generates completely situations. The relation of this father-son is not known by both of them.
